The dream of seeing Leicester City score again almost ignited within twelve seconds. Before the two minute mark, Newcastle were ahead and well, you can guess the rest.

Two Premier League teams, one enduring their worst ever home record versus a side with no clean sheets in 19 games except make it the FA Cup.

Despite this, Leicester had won only once at Old Trafford in the last 20 years and that day, we had no fans at all there. This tie had ‘thriller for the neutrals’ written all over it. 

After throwing away our first “winnable” home game of 2025, Leicester City had an immediate chance to change the narrative as Fulham came to the King Power.

Acknowledging that the Cottagers are a better side than Palace, some still hoped for a point or at least a performance to inspire belief again.

Did you guess the outcome? It was a meek surrendering on the pitch and growing, louder discontent in the stands.

A New Year but not entirely a new us. Ruud van Nistelrooy won’t be giving up on the resolutions he’s set for his Leicester side, but it’s a work in progress with one eye firmly on the transfer window.

The last game of 2024 and Leicester needed a win over struggling Manchester City to avoid ending it in the relegation zone. Despite it being our most complete ninety minutes, it wasn't to be. But it did inspire hope and more importantly, support from the stands.

Put down your mince pies and maybe pour a slightly bigger than recommended glass of mulled wine to process what we just watched. This was a Leicester City away day at Newcastle, less about spreading festive joy and more delivering the nightmare before Christmas.

A lot of people streamed out of the King Power, soggy and disappointed as substitute Minteh put Brighton 2-0 up. But Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side embodied the Foxes Never Quit strapline, spearheaded by our captain to salvage a late point. 

The Seagulls couldn’t stop him and neither could Storm Darragh. It’s Jamie Vardy’s world and all we can do as Foxes fans is revel in it.

New manager Ruud Van Nistelrooy was in the stands, next to Top. Nothing can destroy some newfound hope or excitement among Leicester fans like a trip to London to take on a Brentford side who hadn't beaten Leicester since 1953 and with their forward, Kevin Schade, having not scored this season.

Externally, we've hit the point in the season where media figures can't understand what Leicester fans are concerned about. 

Internally, we may not be in the drop zone yet, but the last win was over a month ago, and well, we’ve been here before so it's hard to generate positivity.

Win or not, we needed to see something to inspire some faith as Enzo Maresca rolled back into town.

Winless Southampton and a Leicester side who have had their fair share of good times at St Mary's. You'd have thought our luck, and efforts, were running out based on the half time score and first half performance. But supporting Leicester City is bonkers. Strap in.

Arsenal were looking to make it a sixth straight win over Leicester. The Foxes are still chasing a first league win and that was unlikely at the Emirates. What the travelling fans wanted to see was a reaction, some fight. But this is Leicester and we're a mad club, so strap in.

Away trips to Crystal Palace have felt pretty miserable for a few years now. But Leicester went 2-0 up. And then decided to channel Everton by inspiring hope and ripping it away. A sucker punch end to our Selhurst Park visit.

In the final match before a two week international break, Steve Cooper's Foxes took on a Aston Villa side who just learnt their Champions League opponents. Fine margins cost us again but there were positive signs if we can strike a defensive-attacking balance.

Tranmere were the visitors to the King Power as Leicester’s Carabao Cup campaign got underway. A cup run could be a nice distraction from Premier League scrapping. The Foxes are into the third round after some well worked goals for old and new faces.

The Foxes travelled to Craven Cottage to face Fulham, their first of three trips to London in a month. A first defeat on the road, but a narrow one on paper. Though with the transfer clock ticking, we really, really need a striker.

The last day of a long, chaotic season saw Blackburn Rovers come to town. Leicester City were crown a week-long party but Rovers needed a win to secure safety, so…you can all write the script on this one.
